Fast forward

For those of you that don’t know, I have cyclothymia amongst other things.

And today, just before my final exam everything seems just that little bit faster and sped up and I can’t slow anything down. It’s really bad timing, I don’t need it today – I need to be able to concentrate!!

As if these exams weren’t hard enough already.

  1. the Prodigal Orphan says:

    When you’re born, you’re issued a ticket for a ride on a balls-to-the-walls, all-out, death-defying, computer-designed, pyrotechnically-embellished, steel/concrete/rebar roller coaster.
Some unfortunate souls are chosen to sit in the front car.
And some of them were not meant to.
We’ve all seen your pictures, your absolutely radiant smile, and one could easily surmise that you’re enjoying the ride.
Your eyes often tell us otherwise.
Your words tell us you’re managing the twists and turns and the ups and downs more than you might either realize or acknowledge.

But the seating arrangement often doesn’t help matters.
Luck of the draw, I guess.
Like allergies, freckles or an overabundant booty.
