This Rewind technique is highly effective – it’s based on NLP and it helps your brain to process the memory that has got stuck in “high alert” mode. I use it with phobia clients, together with tapping (EFT) to reduce the fearful feelings, before we even begin to work with the memory. Matrix Reimprinting offers another very effective way to process traumatic memories. 🙂

About to something similar Lizzie. Would suggest that when you run the film/image backwards quickly in your mind, imagine you’re first in a cinema watching the movie, do that a few times, then imagine you’re in the projection box and run the movie backwards .. this should aid the disassociation they are suggesting 🙂

Was about to write the same Lizzie. If it’s any further help, I suggest that you imagine you’re in a cinema looking at the screen and then run the film/move/experience backwards. Do that a few times and then imagine you’re now in the projection box and run the film backwards. It should deepen the disassociation that they are describing.
PS: if running it backwards is difficult, try just running it normally but very very slowly.. depending on the phobia it may do the trick. 🙂
